I was in line at the local supermarket yesterday morning. All of a sudden, the cashier's computer started to receive an update. It was coming down the pipe at approximately 20kb per second, far slower than one would expect on a LAN connection. Fairly slow for the times.
Then the computer rebooted.
The file was unpacked at a DOS prompt by PKUnzip.
The files went in to a subdirectory of C:\PC-DOS

ReplyDeleteIt all brought me back to my first job, under-aged (and therefore unpaid) computer consultant. :)
BTW, have you had a chance to glance over the chibur I posted on Birkat HaChamah? I must admit it looks fairly anti-climactic without the part 2 that I have not posted.
