This Blog, G-d willing, will discuss concepts related to the Keitz Meguleh discussed in Chazal, as taught in the sefer Kol HaTor. And of course, topics marginally related will be discussed as well.

New Online Book: Yovel & Geulah
For Shabbat BeHar / Yom Yerushalayim
Comments can be posted here or emailed to me. Slightly updated, includes the visual aids.
Just wondering. Do you know what the meaning is behind the gemara's prediction that Moshiach will come in the 85th Yovel? Rav Ashi says it is only when to start expecting him to come, but in Avoda Zara it seems like it's pretty certain (it says not to buy land right before, even for really cheap). Surely on a deeper level it somehow describes the coming yovel.
Thanks. As I was thinking about the question last night, I realized that if you take the 500 days of 12 years each and start from Nisan then 354 days is 4248, the very end of the first year.
As I was going through the cheshbonos I realized that if you make the first year 355 days, (ending in 4260) then Shavuos comes out 65*12=780 years later, which was when the Zohar was discovered. 17th of Tamuz was 1772. You pointed out previously that July 4, 1776 was on 17th of Tamuz. Rosh Chodesh Av begins 1917, the turning point for when America became the world power. Tisha B'Av is 5784.
Thank you for your insights, Danny. I've been feeling rather horrible the last few days, suffering from the inefficiencies of local health care. Your comments were nice to read.
